DropKick Murphys Perform At Milwaukee Admirals Game

I love it, but must admit that this is a strange twist. The Dropkick Murphys play at a Milwaukee Admirals hockey game on February 27th. The band plays right after the game. My coworker suggested that the band play before the game, as it would really fire up the crowd. The Milwaukee Admirals management has been cooking up some pretty cool promotional ideas. Perhaps the Marquette Basketball team should take a page from the Admirals.

If I were to have control of the Golden Eagles post game activities, I would start with a cage match between the biggest, baddest UWM student VS whatever Marquette student would volunteer to get pummelled. Marquette Basketball tickets would be flying out the door! Ok, I can't really confirm that just about every UWM student is tougher, cooler, and smarter than anybody at Marquette, but I'd put money on it.

Nickelback Milwaukee Tickets for Bradley Center show

On May 21, Nickelback will play at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. I found out that the floor of the Bradley Center will once again be a general admission event. The stage has wings and a center walkway. That means you have a good shot at getting close to some part of that stage, if you decide to stand all night.

Nickeback has the same stage set up for the Target Center in Minneapolis. The bigger venues can play host to the full Nickelback effect. A few days after they play in Milwaukee, the band heads back to their home country of Canada. They play Saskatoon on May 29, and just a few more dates. This tour starts in January, and runs for almost five months, with a break in March. The band is backing up their disk titled Dark Horse. That came out a year ago. The did get a Grammy nod this year.

D.R.I. at The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee

D.R.I. will be performing their "old skool" punk hits at the Eagles Club/Rave in Milwaukee on February 6th. D.R.I. is short for Dirty Rotten Imbeciles. They have been around for over 25 years, and their latest release is on Beer City Records, a Milwaukee label. The famous logo of the skankin' man can be found all over the world.

Spike, Kurt, Eric, and Dennis were the first four members. That was 1982. By 2000, D.R.I. signed with Beer City, who released old and new works from these punk rock stalwarts. There have been some recurring health issues with Spike, their guitar player, but he's back in action.

You will also find D.R.I. on the Skate 2 Video Game.
