I found a great post by SJWhipp last night. I agree with her when she says that technology is moving too fast. I like what she said about people who used to bring their personal computer to a house party. I look at all my cd's on the shelf, and I know that they are all on my Ipod now. No need for that pc.
Why do I still have my disks on display? Why am I taking up precious space? It's my age. We did that with albums, and I still do that with CD's.
On top of that, what's the point of bootlegging a live show? I was at the Marcus Amphitheater during Summerfest one night, and two rows in front of me, some guy was recording the show, and then taking down the songs on a sheet of paper. Who wants to hear some muffled, crappy bootleg from the right side of the stage?
